Nervous System Reset

  • Improve Well-being

The Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) is an innovative, clinical-grade listening therapy that targets the healing qualities of the autonomic nervous system, helping to improve physical and mental well-being.

Early research shows RRP may improve sleep, digestion, anxiety, trauma-recovery, and more.

  • Based in Natural Rhythms

The Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP) is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and in the gut, alongside deep knowledge of advanced sound technology. This scientifically engineered acoustic signal and music support deep relaxation and optimal recovery for clients.

  • Supports Deeper Healing

The Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) modulates neural rhythms through musical themes to promote relaxation fostering coherence and harmony within neural pathways.

RRP complements existing therapeutic treatments and interventions for chronic stress and trauma. RRP can support and accelerate healing in a safe, balanced manner.

What is the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP)?

Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and Anthony Gorry, Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP) is an innovative, clinical-grade listening therapy designed to help calm and restore mental and physical functioning. RRP is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and in the gut, alongside deep knowledge of advanced sound technology. This scientifically engineered acoustic signal and music support deep relaxation and optimal recovery for clients.

The Technology

Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) is enhanced by a sound technology called Sonocea® is a patent-pending sonic augmentation technology that uses acoustic parameters that go beyond traditional sound design, integrating the scientific knowledge of endogenous biological rhythms with the nervous system’s potential to be entrained through rhythmic stimulation.  For more information about RRP and Sonocea, visit Unyte.

How does RRP work in practice?

The Rest an Restore (RRP) helps to balance your nervous system to a more relaxed state. It can also enhance therapy. RRP, along with supportive practices, helps restore nervous system regulation to bring greater ease and improved physical and mental well-being. Improved well being is wonderful in and of itself but having a more regulated system can make therapy, and especially trauma work less challenging. By restoring the capacity of autonomic nervous system one is more able to regain balance and achieve homeostatis even while working through difficult stuff; in therapy and life.

Rest and Restore Protocol™ is delivered exclusively by certified providers through digital delivery via the Unyte platform. Clients experience a dynamic, progressive program, including five hours of Sonocea® Enhanced musical themes. RRP is delivered in varying increments and will varying levels of support, depending on your specific needs and therapeutic goals.

Timing and delivery of the RRP will be discussed during the assessment process. Both the RRP and SSP listening programs can be completed as part of therapy with me. I also offer it as an adjunctive therapy so if you already have a therapist, I am able to collaborate with them in the delivery of these programs. And if you are a therapist who has clients you think may benefit from SSP or RRP, please reach out for more information.
